Globe mobile internet-time vs kb

Globe offers mobile internet that you can be billed for depending on the setting you choose. You can avail of the per kb billing where you will be charged 0.15 centavos per kb or you can set your phone to the time based billing where you will be charged 5 pesos for every 15 minute connection. You can set your phone to time by texting "time" to 1111 or to per kb by texting "kb" to 1111.

Rumor has it that if you disconnect or get disconnected and then reconnect even though you have not finished your 15 minutes in time billing, you will be charged another 5 pesos for the next 15 minute connection starting from the time you reconnect. Another rumor says that the 5 peso reconnect is only for prepaid but not for postpaid. Somehow, we get mixed information from different customer service representatives of globe.

Gave up on globe

I was at globe Rockwell last sunday. I got my ticket 5:45PM. I was 8th in line according to the guy. I walked around and went back past 6pm. I asked and they told me I was 9th in line! What sorcery is this?! I decided to wait. A whole bunch of people were called but was not present. I checked with the guy my status and he said that I was next in line. I waited for the last person to finish then lo and behold, they call a different name! I check again with the guy and he tells me that I am now 4th. They don't list down numbers on the screens, just names. Screwed up. Very NOT SMART. People, I'm cancelling my globe number and switching to my smart. If you don't have my number that ends in 111118, please message me. Globe mobile Internet was so slow that I had to get wifi to send this to my FB account. I have been waiting over 2 hours now. This is the globe lifestyle and this is not for me.

Free Apps that are spyware

It seems that some apps are spyware. I was caught with one of them. Immediately deleted it. Why would a flashlight app need access to my messages, settings, calls, location and others.   If you want an android flashlight app, try Torch-Flashlight by Mobile Apps Inc.   If you want to read more, check out:    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2808007/Free-apps-used-spy-millions-phones-Flashlight-program-used-secretly-record-location-phone-content-text-messages.html

Nokia C1

I bought 3 Nokia C1 units because i thought Nokia is still the old Nokia. I was wrong. The C1 is so slow. It takes time to get  to answer calls slow. Also, it has a bug. It will just stop accepting your passkey or pattern and wont let you in. You'll need to bring it to the shop and have them unlock it for you.  Of the 3 units, only 1 works now. One just wont open anymore and the other manifested the bug and i still cant find out where to send it. I also bought a keypad nokia some time ago. After a year, it wont function properly. Nokia is not the nokia of old. I dont think i'll buy any more nokias in the future.
